Blackjack Is a Favourite Game

Blackjack Is a Favourite Game
Online blackjack is a firm favourite among online gamblers and is nearly as popular as the likes of poker and this is because blackjack has a much more gentle learning curve than poker. Sure, there is still a degree of strategy and knowledge (not to mention experience) when it comes to online blackjack but thankfully, it is nowhere nearly as stringent or demanding as poker.
A word of caution when researching online blackjack strategy guides and tips on the internet, there are several different variations of blackjack and so you may find that due to the variations in rules and the scoring system for each of these different forms of the game, that the tips you learn for one will not help you in another. Indeed, not only may they be totally irrelevant, they may also prove to be an absolute and utter hindrance to you as well.
For the purposes of this article, we are going to focus exclusively on "normal" blackjack. With that caveat duly dispensed with, here are some issues to be aware of.
There has been a great deal of study into "winning hands" in blackjack and the end results have been overwhelmingly universal: in certain situations, when either you or the dealer, or even both of you have a hand of a particular value, there is an optimal method of proceeding.  Please note that relying upon this optimal method of proceeding does not mean that you are guaranteed to win, what it does mean however, is that you will increase the odds of winning.
Therefore, if the dealer happens to have a hand that currently stands at 10, and if your hand currently stands at 15 or 16 then it is crucial that you surrender.  The chances of you drawing a card that can benefit you are significantly outweighed by the chances of you drawing a card that will make you go bust (because the total will exceed 21 which in blackjack, is an automatic losing condition).
Too many players think that there luck will be with them: don't be stupid, don't listen to silly superstition and go with the numbers.
